Help & support
Email [email protected] and a real person will reply, normally within 24 hours. Tell us what you were doing and what happened — a screenshot helps more than anything else.
Report someone, or something unsafe
Every profile has Block or report at the bottom. Blocking is immediate and total: they lose your messages, your pin and your profile, and you lose theirs. Reports go to a person who reads them.
If someone is in danger, contact your local emergency services first. For urgent safety matters you can also reach us directly at [email protected] — put URGENT in the subject and we'll prioritise it.
Common questions
Nobody shows up on my map
amos only shows people who have checked in near you, within 50 miles. If the map is empty, either nobody nearby has checked in yet, or your filters are hiding them — open the filter button at the top-left and clear them. Make sure you've allowed location access, too: without it the map can't know where "near you" is.
I'm not getting notifications
Check iOS Settings → Notifications → amos, and the notification settings inside the app under Profile → Notifications.
How do connections work?
Spending a connect on someone opens the conversation for both of you — connections are mutual. You start with 50, and earn one free connect every 12 hours. amos+ removes the wait entirely.
Manage or cancel amos+
amos+ is an auto-renewing subscription billed through your Apple ID. To cancel, open iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions → amos, or tap Manage subscription on your profile in the app. Cancelling at least 24 hours before the period ends stops the next renewal; you keep amos+ until the current period runs out.
Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us — reportaproblem.apple.com.
Delete your account
In the app: Profile → Delete account. This permanently removes your profile, photos, check-ins, connections and messages. It cannot be undone, and we don't keep a copy. If you can't get into the app, email [email protected] from the address on your account and we'll do it for you.
Privacy and your data
Your live location is never shared. amos only ever shows a check-in you chose to make, and each time you check in you choose whether it's exact or blurred. You can hide yourself from the map entirely at any time, for free.
To request a copy of your data, email [email protected]. Full detail is in the privacy policy.
